The building act stipulates that any tradesman who are contracted with the owner/developer to undertake work exceeding $12,000 must provide the Owner with a certificate of Insurance for Home Warranty.Home Warranty provides protection to the consumer against non-structural defects for 2 years and structural defects for 6 years in the event of the builder being unable to complete or rectify their work by reason of death,disappearance or insolvency.The maximum payout is $300,000 per claim.
